M: Judy, isn’t it about time you got dressed yet?
J: I’m dressed.
M: Well, that’s a matter of opinion. Go put on a dress before they get here.
J: Huh- For him? Okay, but nobody named Alexander Phipps would notice what I put on.
[Mother goes – Judy moves to window]
J: Jeepers. Is he cool? Really cool! Yipe. Mother? They’re here and look at me. I’m a mess!
M: Well what do you care? Remember? His name is Alexander Phipps.
J: Wait till I get that brother of mine alone.

B: Hi mom. Hey, it’s good to be home. Oh mom, this is Alex.
M: Hello Alex. We’re very happy to have you with us.
A: Oh thank you Mrs. Adams. It’s nice of you to have me.
B: Wait a minute. Don’t tell me. You’re the twin without the tongue.
[Judy moves over to mother]
B: Alex, this is the little sister I was telling you about. Judy. Alexander Phipps.
J: How do you do Mr. Phipps. So nice you could come.
A: Well thanks Judy and the name is Alex.
M: Did you boys grab your lunch?
B: Oh mom, I didn’t want to miss another one of your meals. Besides, we wanted to catch a shower.
M: Well OK, run along then. I’ll have everything ready by the time you get back.
B: Nice. Oh mom. How about some of those hot biscuits of yours?
M: Alright, hot biscuits. Judy’ll make them for you.
B: Judy!? I didn’t know she could cook?
A: That sounds real good. Thanks.

J: Mother…? You do the biscuits, huh?
M. But it’ll only take you a moment Judy.
J: Thanks angel. I think I will throw on a dress. More ladylike, don’t you think?
M: Yes dear, but Alexander Phipps will never notice that.
J: You’re a doll mother.
