J: These berries are simply divine.
M: And theyll taste even more divine next winter, if therere any left for the freezer. Remember what it was like Judy, before we got the freezer?
J: Sure do. (Of course, yes) Look at that. Isnt it beautiful? Berries, corn on the cob, peaches, peas, beans, meat, cakes, pies. Oh, its dreamy.
M: The money we save is pretty dreamy too. There it is. Practically ready to put on the table. Yep. Pretty dreamy.
J: Mother?
M: Yes.
J: Do you think it would be alright, if I went to the dance tomorrow night with Eddy Byrne?
M: Oh, when did he ask you?
J: Oh, he hasnt yet, exactly. Alex has asked me to go to a stuffy old lecture with him.
M: And you said youd go.
J: You said we should do everything to make his spell pleasant. But Id still rather go to the dance.
M: Judy, if you promised Alex youd go to the lecture with him, youll go to the lecture with him, and thats all there is to it.
J: Well, all right. But he sure gives me the reds!
M: Gives you the what?
J: Riles me up! Makes me mad!
M: Oh.
J: Is there anything else I can do, mommy?
M: Not for now dear. Thanks for the help with the berries.
J: Strictly a snap. Besides, theyre good.
M: Oh Judy. I almost forgot. Sally called.
J: Okay mom. See you later.
M: Gives me the reds. Really!
